Rachael's day at the Flea Market
After two years of nonstop work, Ken and I decided to take a much needed vacation and get away from the grind for a while. Since the "why" behind all of this is our family, we decided to come and visit our youngest son, Steven, and his bride, Alli. She was due to have our fourth grandchild on June 21, so around the 19th, we decided to go and visit. They live in Ohio.
SO, being the ever diligent bargain hunters that we are, we found flights on Allegiant, and we decided to head to the Pittsburg area to meet up with Ken's brother as well as see what kinds of quilting and sewing and fabric related things we could find, before barging in on the new parents.
On Friday, June 28, we hit up Rogers Flea Market in Rogers, Ohio. It was a minefield for all things textiles. Had we landed earlier in the day, as well as the temperatures not climbed into the mid to high 80s, we could have found even more great stuff.
SO I thought I would show you some of the super cool things I found
Lots of places had vintage dailies and linens for super cheap. I know that there are a lot of vintage quilters out there.
Note from Becky - Thank you, Rachael, for sharing with us about your whirlwind trip - first day! They had an early flight, so she got almost no sleep at all.
To all of you readers - she is hoping to find several interesting places to go relating to textiles/quilting cottons. We’ve been looking for some vendors or dealers she can go and visit. Of course, she plans on sharing them with you!
Be sure to check out what we have for you in the store!
