Winging my way Home

While this blog post is scheduled to come out, I should be on a plane heading back to Poland.

It’s been a fast and furious almost month. I’ve been so privileged to be here in the USA. My mom graciously has opened her home - we call it “Granny’s Bed and Breakfast” as she likes it that way and it works well for us. We eat our breakfast together every day and then go our way. She likes to go to bed early, and has her routines. Guests can really be a burden to older people, so I try to stay out of the way as much as possible. My mom was born in ‘32. I always have to re-figure it up as to how old she is. :)

Anyway, what have I done? All kinds of things.

We went to my daughter’s graduation and spent some time with all 5 of the kids, briefly while my husband was still here. Then we came back to FL (we had driven to SC for that). I was able to go to one of our suppliers (I haven’t written that one up yet - it’s coming!).

Mom and me.

Mom and me.

After being back here for just a few days, my husband went back to Poland and then my sis and I flew to Dallas where we purchased some fabric for the store (more on that later as well!)!

Then, I’ve been helping my sis try to get some cleaning out done so we can enjoy the newly opened boxes of fabric that we purchased!

I’ve managed not to do a lot of sewing. I did, however, buy a second hand Baby Lock (Quilter’s Choice Professional) sewing machine so I will have access to a really nice machine when I do need one when back visiting.

I’ve also been blessed to spend some time with my granddaughters. That’s been special. Oh yes, their parents as well!

And so now you know! Lots of things to talk about, but it’s time for me to get settled back in Poland! While it’s been great to be here, it is time for me to get back to “my place”.

So, I’ll be checking back in from “the other side of the pond” next time I write.

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
