Daily Happenings

I played “Grandma Becky” and “Aunt Becky” today while the moms worked at the shop in peace and quiet. Normally the moms (Jessica, my DIL, and Sarah, my niece) have to try to handle all of these children AND work. It’s a lot. While I can babysit, it means that I’m not actually helping in the shop, but it is helping the ladies get their work done, so in the end, I’m okay with it.

I watched my 2 granddaughters and 3 of my twin’s granddaughters. they are all 6 and under, so it can be interesting at times. We decided that, even though these are cousins’ kids, they are genetically like first cousins - even though they are what I think is called second cousins, since my son, Jeremiah, and Sarah, Rachael’s daughter, are genetically half siblings though in reality, cousins. Hope that wasn’t too confusing.

After I finished that, I came over to the shop, sat and talked with Rachael for a while and then we came back, and rolled some fabric that we have had in the back - it’s a sort of “buy out” type of fabric, so it’s quite a mix. I actually sorted this fabric out last night at my mom’s house and decided that this fabric was to be for sale.

We will put it on the shelves in the store - and not offer it on the site as there isn’t a lot of any one.

Then, Rachael cut another bundle of O Holy Night - quilt kit - and I helped her fold a few of those.

These are all we had leftover from last year when I folded them. We would have had nothing left but COVID hit.

Then, I folded some fat quarters - that’s to help them here in the shop as they often give away a fat quarter to each person in the guild groups who come—as a little present for them. We usually offer them their choice - and Rachael has found that it is a lot easier for them if I fold a lot of these ahead of time so all they have to do is pull them out of the cabinet and offer them. The ladies love them.

If you are from this area and have a guild who would love to visit - just call and schedule a time for early next year - we’ll be glad to schedule a special time for you!

I’ll help out the rest however I can. There is always something else to be done!

And that’s it for today!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!

Be sure to check out what we have for you in the store!
