Delivery - my three nieces get their quilts

I think that many of you realize that I’m in Florida at the moment.

One of the things I carried over in my suitcase - well, three of them - were these quilts - quilts for my grand-nieces. They are my niece's daughters (Rachael’s daughter’s children).

The oldest one wanted pink and the unicorn panel. The second one wanted purple and the unicorn panel and the parents chose light blue for the youngest one. Maybe it’s not quite the robin’s egg blue they requested, but it’s light blue.

So this is what happened. I think the pictures will tell the story!

We went over to their house and I gave the girls their quilts. The first one went to the oldest —Emma - the pink!

I know it’s blurred a bit - but maybe you can get the idea.

Then, the next one - wanted purple - remember that one? I was hesitant about this one because to me it had “TOO MUCH” purple (and I like purple!). But when little Joan looked at it, her initial reaction was, “I love it!” (She really did say that - she’s 4!)

Then little Nora, who is all of not even a year and a half really didn’t know what was going on - so her mom held up hers.

So then they wanted them immediately on their beds. They were thrilled! What more could a quilting great-aunt want?

Nothing! Of course!

And now you know! First set of quilts shown - a smashing success! These are a couple of girls who happen to LOVE their quilts!

I know this is a quick post, but I’ll be sharing things along the way of what I’m up to while here. Be assured - I’m staying busy!
