Let the classes begin!

The Blog is back!

That happened on Thursday!!!! I’m so glad. We finally got the subdomain set up properly so that the blog came through from the old location where we could read it on the new site.

So, we could see it, but there wasn’t anything new on it yet! We’ll go back in and fill in the days we missed with things. It’s not like the train wasn’t barreling down the train track at 150 MPH. It was. We just didn’t have time to write about it.

Did you miss it? Becky is still pretty sick in Poland, so I thought I’d let you know that we are having classes now in the shop.

I realize that most of you who read this are NOT local, but you can still appreciate the fact that we’ve not been able to have official classes with sign ups on the site for a while now.

Sandi helps Debby with her lesson back in the Feb. class. We finished it just before COVID hit big time and shut life down as we all knew it.

We started another round of our six week long Beginning Quilting a couple weeks back and yesterday (Thursday) we had a weighted pincushion class.

Only two ladies signed up for it, but it was the first time that teacher, Sandi Schempp had taught that class. All three of them had a lot of laughs when I went in to check and see what was happening!

I’m very excited to show you what they did. I’m also thrilled.. did I mention that I was happy?

Oh did I happen to say that I’m relieved that you can now sign up for classes on line????

I’m so thrilled that this part is behind us. The calendar is up and running. The classes, for now, are on the site, and we’re now going to start taking recommendations for more classes that should be taught.

We also have an easy way to sign up for the Sit ‘n Sew now. It’s just $8 per day and you can come and bring your friends and your machines and projects and sew until your eyes are crossed and your project is done, or until 5 p.m., whichever comes first!

Sit ‘n Sew is a GREAT activity you could participate in with your friends! It’s inexpensive, at only $8 per day, plus we let you shop on “off times” so there’s hardly anyone in the store! You get a design board, an Accuquilt, nice tables, and sturdy chairs, along with a fridge and convection oven for your pizza cooking pleasure!

Every step forward in getting the site setup is a giant step in helping us towards our goal of being the very best blogger, quilt shop owners and people in general, that we can be!

We covet your friendship, your support and your prayers. You know that we’d not be here if it weren’t for the people (you). Thanks so much for those of you who have expressed concern for Becky’s health. I’ll keep you posted, so please don’t call or send emails to answer. I’m just getting farther and farther behind in answering, doing, running, organizing and putting out copy..

Keep praying for her to recover completely. Her temperature had dropped yesterday, so I think she’s doing much better. Exhaustion, Jet lag, a horrific cold, and then what sounds like bronchitis, all hit her very hard upon her return. She had been working on amping up the sickness before she left, and we just prayed that she’d be able to get on that plane. If you’ve got to be sick, there’s nothing quite like being ill in your own home, in your own bed, surrounded by your own system, routine and “stuff.”

So, I’m thankful that she made it back to Poland, even though we didn’t get many things that I would have liked to have gotten done. We did get all of the “must do’s” finished.
