At last, the day dawns... HOPING for a new website today!
Well, the day has finally come (we hope. We think. We pray.)
What? You ask? What could possibly generate this much excitement?
Well, we’re hopefully getting a new website up and running late today!
Now, a lot of things are NOT going to be perfect with this site. A lot of things won’t work yet, but we simply have to move forward and get it started.
We’ve been working on it since July 29, and we have to stop waiting.
You wonder why Ken and I haven’t been able to do many Ken and Rachael shows in the month of August? Well, it’s because we’re unable to put up much new material, due to having to manually transfer it to the new site. We had 16,000 products and 27,000 images to get to the new site. It’s going to be very apparent to you that many of the images are not in the right spot and all. But just bear with us. We’ll get it fixed.
Thankfully our son, Steven, was able to grab the images off the old site. Otherwise, it’d be another 5 months before we could go live!
The best thing that could happen is for us to bite the bullet, get the new site up and THEN find all of the problems.
I’m very excited about it.
So, look for it!
Here’s a preview of the front page!
I took the pictures on the home page, and learned how to put the overlays and the wording! I was pretty happy with how they turned out.
And I’ll show you an inside view of the main fabric page.
We have a lot of work to do on it, but we’ve spent hundreds of hours on it already.
So, just be patient with us. This new site is made specifically for quilt shops and will help us be more efficient, once we get there and can concentrate wholly on making the new site the best we can.
Now, once we get things all turned on, and up and running, we’ll be HAPPY to listen to your input!
We are thrilled about the option for you, when you place a fabric order to say, “Send what you have,” “Call me,” or “Cancel that part” if we don’t have all of what you need in stock!
So, that’s all I have to say today. It’s been a CRAZY 6 weeks!
I’d write more, but I’ve got more to do on the new site before tomorrow and it’s almost tomorrow. (I’m writing this late on Wed night)
