"I Found a Quilted Heart" goal

I’d like to put a button right there to cover the bottom of the twine.

Seems like I get on the trendy bandwagons late. I had no idea there was something about making quilted hearts and leaving them in public places until I was listening to a the Stitch tv show on You Tube. The ladies there talked about this and wanted to make some. They didn’t know about it either, apparently, so I felt better about being so late to the party!

Of course, this idea intrigued me. Sounded like something I’d like to do. Well, I’d like to MAKE the hearts - kind of wish someone else would “sow” them for me.

But anyway, I decided to make a goal of making 1 a week this year - so 52 for the year. When I had checked not ONE was reported found in Poland. I need to change that.

So I’ve made a few - probably 10 or 15 - need to finish them up with their labels and start “seeding” them.

Here are most of the ones I’ve made. I want to add a few more buttons and fun things to them, though. i have some ribbons and pompoms and various laces and such. Thought it might be kinda fun.

I’ve decided to make them from my crumbs. Why not? I’m not making crumb quilts this year - at least that’s not my plan - so I can use up some of those very small pieces and leftover partial blocks this way. They look very cool!

I also got some fun decorations for them.

These are quick and easy projects and I hope they find appreciative recipients!

I don’t really want to repeat all the information that they have on their website, so let me send you there.

If this sounds like something that is interesting to you, please go there and read about making them and then about “sowing” them.

And that’s just another little “fun” thing to do this year. It can be mindless sewing - when I still want to make something but don’t have a real plan or goal for the day/evening

(probably evening -when I’m already tired but still want to sew something.)

And now you know - If I finish all of the ones I have shown here, I think I’ll be coming up on 1/3 of my goal for the whole year (52).

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
