My fabric goodies in the mail!

These are the bags that I got from the mail. They were in gray plastic mailing bags. In this picture they are on the back seat of the van.

At home I opened them and inside were the regular packaging from The Quilted Twins that they mailed. Apparently the post office adds those outer gray bags in Miami.

I divvied them up so that they were easier to see. My sis sent me fabrics in two categories -

First, some more fabric for my farm themed fabric for the Farm Bureau quilt. I asked for a few more things to go with the tractor panel. This is what I got. I’d like to get started in the next couple of days on that one. I do have a design in mind.

I had asked for a few more interesting farm themed fabrics to help spice up the quilt I’m making.I wanted some chickens and other things.

This “cow” fabric is from the specialty fabrics room. It’s super nice! It’s here - by Elizabeth’s Studios and it is $9.99/yard.

THEN
My sis asked me to make my nephew a quilt with this White Tiger panel. The white Tiger panel is amazing - I realized that from when I was in the states last time.

She sent me some coordinating fabric and I’ll have to figure out something from all of these.

The White Tiger panel is of course, very dramatic. It’s here if you are interested. It’s by Hoffman and they are $9.99/panel. I’d be hard pressed to give you the colors for the Moda grunge, but that black and gray tiger stripe is here. It’s only $5.…

Found here.

I’m still really not that used to working with such big pieces of fabric - and these panels are very nice to touch and work with. It will be my pleasure!

To go with the panel, she gave me 3 different Moda Grunge fabrics which match perfectly. They will be fun to use! Unfortunately, I can’t begin to give you the links for those. You’d have to ask them if you wanted matching grunge - they’d have to do it in person.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what my sis sent me!

Oh…and are you curious?

Today I went to KFC and got their 15 pieces of chicken for 15 zl today (Tuesdays) right now. I added something they call Kentucky Fries where they add stuff to french fries. I went through the drive through. It all cost a total of $5.40.

The 15 pieces of chicken consisted of 4 legs, 4 strips and 7 hot wings.

I brought the whole thing home to eat. I had one of the legs, the strips and one hot wing. The rest went into the fridge. I’ll probably freeze the leftovers for a different day.

Hope you’ve enjoyed your little glimpse into my day today. I spent a lot of it working on taking apart shirts - then I sandwiched and started quilting that Geometrics 11.

I’m trying not to work too hard. I even lay down on the couch for about 30 minutes and watched a You Tube “60 Minutes Australia” this afternoon. Instead of pushing it and finishing up the quilting today on Geometrics 11, I decided to just finish it tomorrow.

I really am trying to take my instructions from those of you are telling me to get my rest! I tend to do the opposite when my husband isn’t home. He kind of keeps me from staying up too late! (He’s off teaching a module course on the book of Psalms to a bunch of seminary students in the Ukraine this week.)

Anyway…

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
