Some of the best (lately!)
So pretty. These are “my colors”!!!
I really do have some tops and quilts I’ve not shown you get - I really do. :) I’ll get to them - I will. I’m just having a problem focusing on other things til I get this big project done.
We are going to have more severe lockdowns starting today (Saturday). They say if we continue to have our cases of COVID-19 rise, they will go to a martial law type lockdown where people can’t travel between areas of Poland. Most stores will close. We will have a little bit of warning, though, so I think I’d best make sure I keep my freezers full and my cabinets stocked.
This one was so beautiful! So bright!! I just added the Polish bright border. I might have added the red one as well. In fact, i think I did. Maybe if the person who made this top remembers, they can tell us for sure.
And my batting. :) I may get the other roll that my local store said they still have. If I am locked at home, as long as I’ve got my supplies, I’m like a duck in a pond - I absolutely don’t mind!
I wanted to show you just a few of the tops I’ve been working on lately - these are ALL donations! And I’m so happy about them! They are so pretty!
With this one I was given the middle part - I added starting with the wider black just inside the blue and worked out.
I heavily quilted this top that had a lot of piecing in it! Someone sent me a top this detailed - I wanted to do it justice. I will admit, I did make it kind of stiff.
As I was quilting this one, I really fell in love with this top. Now that it is all quilted, I really love it - even more! Thank you! I did add the final outer rust colored border to get it to a 60x80”.
This is the first of the ones where I used the folk butterflies as the backing.
When someone donated this top, they donated it to the last black border. I added the yellow, outer blue and purple outside borders. When I add these borders, I’m always hoping that a person can’t tell where I added the borders. :)
Just glimpses. Eye candy.
All charity quilts - or soon will be.
Once again - love these colors!! Pinks, purples - yum!
Oh, and I am not finished. I have some big ones still to sandwich and quilt. These are just SOME of the ones I’ve been working on lately - not all. So if you don’t see your particular beautiful top you sent us, well, never fear - I have saved them all and am working on them!
My husband came in while I was quilting this one and told me how much he liked this top. I told him it will probably be one of the first to be chosen. The colors are lovely and appeal to men and women alike! I appreciate this seamstress so much! I can’t remember who gave me this, but I suspect the same person who gave me several - all of which are wonderful to work with!
And I am positive she made them just for me/us because they all came in right at 60”x80” - just as if they were made to order. LOL
And there you are! That’s it for today. I didn’t want you to think I’m only sitting around watching You Tube videos!!! If I do have them on - these days I’m mostly watching true crime stories and documentaries - I’m either quilting, or sandwiching while I listen (mostly). With the ones I finished today, I’ve quilted 84.
Stay safe! Have a great day wherever you are reading!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
Here’s a bundle my sis has put together recently! Just beautiful!
