"Centerpiece" - our next kit
Did I mention that Rachael likes horse panels?
I know I did!
I had to stop her a couple more times from buying some MORE beautiful horse panels! I think manufacturers find horses easy targets for beautiful photography! I mean…why can’t they do the same with some amazing dog breeds or beautiful solo cats? Hoffman does it with the Call of the Wild series, but the other companies, not so much.
Here’s number two of the horse panels I made into quilts for my sis while in Florida. This one reminded my sister so much of my mom and her upbringing that I know that is why she bought it. It’s a beautiful panel!
The horse is magnificent and the background it is stunning. It reminds me a bit of Kyrgyzstan, where my husband and I went 2 years ago now.
There, horses are ubiquitous. You can see them everywhere you drive away from the cities - grazing along the side of the road or in the mountains - wild. (Of course, they do eat them.)
You could use this pattern for any of the panels that are a full yard and a horizontal layout. The area where you can tweak it if your panel is slightly different is in the borders directly around the horse.
We asked the long armers to quilt it with something related to horses. They used horseshoes and did a wonderful job!
We are offering this as a kit - which is here.
If you don’t want the whole kit - but just the pattern - you can get that here!
You can easily change the colors to ones that coordinate with YOUR panel - just choose 3 colors that go with it and a nice dark one for the chain for the best effect.
Thanks for coming along with me on my quilting/sewing journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
