My House looks like Santa's Workshop! Seriously!

Here are a few pictures of what the inside of the living room looked like earlier today.

Maybe not really like a workshop - it looks like a mess!

We also had at least two different couriers deliver today - one left 5 packages near our vehicles and another left 3 in our front porch area.

Here is a pile of the packages I got in the first run. The second time I went, it was dark already so no photos there!

I’m rapidly getting my packages from what I ordered last weekend for the large family of 10. I made two trips to the paczkomat which is the package place like an Amazon locker. The first time I got about 10 packages and the second time, 5, I think it was. If they can put more than one in one of the boxes, they will.

I am spending time wrapping each day now. Let me show you what a bean bag box wrapped looks like when I’m half done! It’s huge!

The other bean bag arrived today! So fun! Here is that particular family’s gifts without the recent arrival!

Then this is the box that had arrived while I was getting the second batch of packages - it’s even bigger than the other one. I’ll get it wrapped up the day you are reading this. Hopefully I’ll get Mike to first fix the box for me as it’s kind of been banged up a bit.

Here is the first bean bag chair. The girls are 10 and 12. I do not know which one wanted which one.

This evening I worked wrapping for about three hours - I’m finding it not bad at all - kind of nice to just put something on to listen to and work. Here’s the family I worked on.

Yes, I took one more on. Now this truly is the last one. I have no more time - so this is it. In addition to these presents, they will get a new oven and a microwave and we’re looking to find a good used table that they can eat around.

This mom is 59 and has a son who is 34 who has seizures. He fell off a roof of a house maybe a year or two ago while working and hurt himself. He has been undergoing rehab and wants to get back to work. They live in the boonies, and hopefully he actually do that - within the next year. The mom loves to garden. They needed a hot water heater (small electric one), food and shoes, I think are their three things. I did get them some shoes - not gift cards, because they have no car and live far away from a big city with one of the shoe stores I can get gift certificates from. Let me show you a bit of what I did this evening with their gifts. They also need some clothing items - so I ordered a few things - hopefully will be here in a couple of days but I did find most of what they need locally.

This lady loves to garden, so I had fun with that theme - found these at two different garden shops.

And this calendar at the school supplies store.

They also need bedding - so this hit home with me - a woman after my own heart! I got them new pillows, duvet covers, 2 new duvets and will give them each a quilt - which aren’t pictured as I’ve not made a final decision about which ones to give. I like giving fabric related gifts, as I’ve mentioned before. I didn’t get a photo of the pillows.

They didn’t ask for kitchen towels, but they did mention towels in general and if anyone else is like me, a new infusion of kitchen towels is always welcome! I got her beautiful embroidered ones!

They did ask for the inside slippers. I got her warm ones.

The duvets were on sale at Lidl on Sunday and I got ones with Thinsulate so they are especially warm - in spite of being thin. This is good because I heard their house gets too cold in the winter so they close off part of it as it is too hard to keep heated.

In addition to these, I didn’t take pictures of the clothes I wrapped. I am always a bit hesitant about clothes simply because they are so personal and so much a matter of taste. But they asked for some.

I got the lady a coat and ordered a jacket of sorts. I also ordered a warm winter Carhartt coat for the young man and then one that is lighter. And I call him, at 34, a young man, because I, at 59, think anyone who is 34 is young.

The water heater should be here tomorrow. We’re still searching for the table and chairs. We have three options here in the Warsaw area - any one of which should work.

Here’s where we are so far on these packages. I still will get some more - and the microwave isn’t in the photo. I brought it in the house after this photo was taken. the duvets are in that big box on the top right. The plain boxes will get wrapped with brown paper as they have wrapped presents in them. I think we will shock this family unit.

So…now you know! I’ll keep you posted as the countdown happens the rest of this week. It’s exciting, actually! Thank you everyone for all your help financially!
