"Charming Greens"

I called it Charming Greens because this one is made up of 5” squares - which many people call “Charm Squares” - all solids. All from my UP greens boxes of fabrics.

Before I go further, I’m sorry I’m kind of overwhelming you with UP Greens. I am really putting my time into them right now because I seriously want to get these boxes whittled down!

I’m sorry, but I guess I’m not really. I’m trying to keep giving you variety so you don’t get bored. I’m also trying to keep them reasonably easy - as I’m not wanting to get too involved in a single top.

I finished this up a few weeks ago now.

The back of Charming Greens

The back of Charming Greens

I quilted it with double line quilting in the sashing. And that is all I did. I had considered more quilting, but decided that it was enough. I’m using poly batting most of the time on these and this is close enough. Nothing bad will happen if I leave that much space (5”) between the quilting lines.

With these, I’m making the backing all upcycled fabrics as well - this is the back.

I am not sure what else to say about this one. I used many, many of the solid greens I had - from the darker box. When I started, I had a darks box and a lights box.

I used a variety of off whites in the sashings - not just all one piece. Once again, this one is not difficult, but it was not fast to put together.

I put the cornerstones in to provide a bit more variety and I like the look!

The quilt roll: Just because I like them.

I did work on the pattern - it is here! I hope someone can use it.

So, now here’s an update on the UP Greens series with the new quilted quilt put up instead of just the top.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
