Another two boxes arrived!
I got two more boxes yesterday!
One was from my friend, Fran, in Arizona, who has made literally dozens, if not hundreds, of tops and quilts for me to finish and give away!
Here is what was in the box from Fran. She is so faithful in sending me tops. I’ve got to add to the little ones to make them a twin size, but the large ones are pretty much ready to go. I’ll check the size, and see if I need to add borders. If so, I’ll do it, and go ahead and finish these up pretty soon.
I’m already behind on these big tops - as I had hoped to get one per week done this year. I did have an excuse, though, as I was out of poly batting.
I did get more this week. It’s currently in the van - waiting for me.
Guess it’s time to get busy! (Wait…I’ve been very busy lately - I meant, on those larger charity tops!)
The second box was from a lady in FL who has a thrift store - called God’s Share. They get given some fun things and the owner of the thrift store also gives things to missionaries who are living and working the world over. In truth, her thrift store funds her efforts to get things to missionaries!
In the past, Kim, from God’s Share, has sent me various quilt tops. It’s been a while now, though. When she asked me a while ago now if I wanted them, I said, “YES!” but I felt bad because I know it costs a lot to send them.
She said, it was okay - she would send them to me!
That box arrived at the same time as the box from Fran!
But how cool are these?
These look this - up close and big! These are older tops!
This one is fascinating! So much work! It is all hand done. I will “quilt it to death” when I get ready to quilt it since I don’t want the quilt top to come apart. It is amazing!
I’m glad it has made its way to me so I can finish it!
And now you know! The newest goodies I found delivered to me! So grateful!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
Here’s one of the beauties we have!
