In 2021 - How is your quilting coming along?
Just wondering how is everyone doing with their quilting projects.
Are you finding yourself quilting more or less than other years?
Did COVID affect your quilting life? Were you able to get more done during the whole COVID crisis? Or was it less? I know at least some of you spent a lot of time sewing masks. A whole lot of you!
Have you been able to get back to quilting this calendar year?
Obviously, this year it has been a difficult year for me with regards to my normal quilting. But I’ve been sewing.
Maybe once I get back to Poland, hopefully I can get back into routine - but I have been sewing - mostly for Rachael at the moment.
Sometimes the ladies at the shop tell me things they want me to make up as samples as well.
Plus we have two different long armers who happily trade quilting for fabric, so we can get these quilted quickly. It is wonderful! I am definitely getting spoiled. Most of these are quite easy and only lap quilt size.
Eventually you will be able to see what I have been up to.
In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of some quilts that are finished and some that need binding. As I write, there is one in the dryer. Five are at the shop being used as samples.
Most of these are panel quilts and are lap size.
As you can imagine, not only are they not as big as what I usually make, I’m also only adding borders to the middle. It has been a nice challenge - but I really do like starting with regular pieced blocks as well. Some of these can be done in only a few hours.
I know that my time here is for my mom and sewing is a side activity - of that I am aware. I am also helping sometimes in the store.
So here’s my question for you -
HAS COVID affected your quilting life - both in 2020 and this year - 2021. If so, how/why? I’d love to hear your thoughts/experiences if you’d care to share!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
Here’s one of the beauties we have!
