Meanwhile...Back in Poland

Thieves broke into the church building!

They stole the piano (Clavinova) and stand and piano bench, our monitor which we used for Facebook live, the microwave, 2 or 3 sewing machines, some quilts and left it all a mess. I’m sure there are other things missing as well.

As far as the quilts go - the irony is - they were to be given away - all anyone had to do to get a quilt from me is ask. I do have pictures of every single quilt that was in there, so if they were to show up on the free market auction sites (which I doubt), we’d be able to recognize them. Instead, I suspect they are to be used for the women in their lives or to sell cheaply to their friends for quick cash.

Sigh.

Anyway…That’s the latest news from Poland. My husband spent a good part of the day yesterday dealing with the police.

I can’t tell from the picture how many quilts are still there as they are a mess and maybe some are tossed to the left of this photo.

14 - 135 quilts.jpg

This was the last photo I had from December 18, 2020 when there were 135 quilts in there.

I know that I had given a few away since then, but COVID restrictions and all had kept us from doing a big give away.

I’ll have to see when I get back.

Once again, I have to think they will be distributed to people in the area. :) How’s that for positive thinking? No kidding - I know that the Lord can use this even, to help those who need it.

I don’t understand why people feel the need to break into a church, apparently searching every crook and cranny for something of value - and making a big mess in the meantime!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Stay safe!
