Where do the walk in customers call "home"?

Recently we were approached by someone within Dade City about promoting our town and all the activities that happen therein.

Though we are not located directly in downtown, we are located within the city limits of the thriving metropolis of Dade City.

Dade City offers lots of small quaint places to eat, locally owned and operated style restaurants, with everything from home-style cooking, to soul food, where it’s as tasty as it is fried, to the organic sandwiches made from fresh produce picked locally. We have settings from the bizarre--providing the feeling of sitting in a museum of a big game hunter surrounded by white Christmas lights year round --  to the ultra sleek and modern feeling of a renovated loft apartment in New York City, complete with visible pipes running overhead. We have fast food restaurants that were recently built, grocery stores with excellent delis, as well as a couple of places that just serve ice cream, if you just want a quick cone to eat as you head out of town after shopping at Quilted Twins!

Plus, of course, there’s Quilted Twins!

We knew that people drove quite some distance to come to see our store, shop with us, visit with us and find the perfect fabric.

We decided recently to set out to find out more scientifically just how far our reach was into the quilting community.

So, we set out a clipboard and invited our guests to tell us what town in Dade City they called “home.”

It was amazing.

We had visitors from 34 neighboring cities and towns plus Dade City walk through the doors of our store.

The cities represented were: Belleview, Brooksville, Bushnell, Clermont, Dade City, Davenport, Fruitland Park, Gainesville, Groveland, Hernando, Lake Como, Lake Wales, Lakeland, Lecanto, Leesburg, New Tampa, Ocklawaha, Odessa, Old Town, Polk City, Pomona Park, Riverview, Satsuma, Spring Hill, Sun City Center, Winter Park, The Villages, Trinity, Umatilla, Valrico, Welaka and Zephyrhills.

Our customers came from all directions:

2 hours and 10 minutes away north from Old Town, FL;

55 minutes from the west from Trinity;

1 hour, 10 minutes south from Sun City Center;

and

1.5 hours east coming from Winter Park.

In other words, if you drew a giant circle around our store, for about one hour’s driving distance, you would encompass MOST of our customers, but not all. Some are super dedicated and drive over 2 hours to come to us! We appreciate you all greatly.

We had a fabulous day, and it was a great day for us to test this out!

Take a look at this map! Enjoy it! We appreciate you all very much!

Quilted Twins is the purple pin. All of our customers came from the red pins.

You can see where the customers come from. Some come from as far away as 2 hours north to one hour south. We love all of our customers, and as always, if you can’t make the drive, we’re open 24/7 online at QuiltedTwins.com.
