2021 Charity quilts #51-60

Here we go! The next set of 10!

This showing of 10 makes me officially “half finished” for the year.

Good thing, huh?

These are now “June’s quilts” as I was trying to do 10 a month. Too bad it’s now October.

But that’s okay. I’m actually done with more than that - working on finishing up completely 5 a day so I can be finished - SOONER rather than later. Our cheaper electricity is all weekend, so I’m trying to work hard to get a lot done so I can keep the washing machine busy all weekend - as much as is realistically possible, anyway. This weekend might be not so busy, but hopefully by next weekend, the washer will be busy all weekend.

The big problem then becomes drying…where to put them so they can dry since I don’t put them in the dryer. (I don’t have anything against drying them, but it adds significantly to the cost.)

I actually move the vehicle closer to the clothes line so once I get the quilts photographed, I don’t have to take them too far to put them in the car.

Here they are!

I gave this quilt plus a mattress, 2 bottom sheets and a leftover throw from the Noble Packages from last Christmas - for a local lady who needed a mattress for her mom who has Alzheimer’s (she cares for her) and was getting a hospital bed from an agency but it came without a mattress. She was desperate and wrote and asked me if we had one. I found one for her. The mom has recently become 100% care like my mom was - bed-ridden.

So now I am up to 155 since I had 146 this past week but I gave away one a few days ago to a lady who is caring for her mom who has Alzheimer’s.

Here’s the paper showing how many I have currently in the room -

So you can see that I have 155 quilts here.

This group was once again a bunch of kid-friendly ones with only one from the Big Fabric Haul which went on one of the ‘adult-quilts’ pile.

Here’s what the total looks like now in the church building! Now the piles are pretty even. Once I start adding those big ones, however, these piles are going to look very different.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Thanks for coming along with me on my quilting/sewing journey!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!

Here’s one of the beauties we have! This is a good one for your favorite soldier - especially one of faith - he would appreciate this.
