UP Greens #28 - top finished - no name yet

I decided to get radical.

I originally had this one designed with blues and greens in a plaid sort of look. This is what I wanted to do. However, I didn’t have these colors in my second-hand fabrics. BUT I still wanted to make this design.

So…I had to change course a bit. I had been disappointed because I really did want to DO this pattern.

SO…

I played around with the colors a bit. Just a bit.

LOL

My sis said it doesn’t even look like a greens quilt. But all the blocks are greens.

And yes, my greens aren’t all that green. Many of them are florals.

This top is 96”x108” at this point. It’s quite large.

This top is made up of simply two blocks. They are 12.5” before being sewn into the quilt top. I’m showing you the close up of the blocks so you can see the variety of colors in the greens and take a look at the quarter square triangle block.

I had a hard time finding enough orange in my collection of second-hand fabrics but actually uncovered a bit more yellow than I had thought. I did end up seaming some of the orange in order to get my squares to 13.5” before cutting the first time.

This one has no borders and no sashings. Because of that it was easy to put together.

So here’s the series so far - once again! I am feeling the end in sight! LOL

Thanks for coming along on this journey with me!
