"Diamond Trip"

I did finish this one! This is #35 in my Upcycled Greens series.

For the quilting, all I did was straight line quilting in one direction. I used a heavy cotton batting available here in Poland.

I gave all these close ups so you could enjoy the fabrics. The key to this one, is of course, is making sure the contrasting fabric really makes a statement. Make sure it is a strong contrast!

The back is once again made up of second-hand fabrics. Obviously everything is pieced these days. I don’t have enough of any one of these fabrics to make an entire backing from one fabric.

It’s so pretty this morning - sunny and chilly.

Sometimes hanging on the line, you can get a different perspective on a quilt than lying on the table!

I’m leaving all these photos big so you can see them!

Once I got done - I realized I used this same color combination here.

This quilt is a great scrap-buster. I was able to use up a lost of 2.5” strips.

That’s it! Thanks again for reading and coming along with me! We’re doing well. Busy with the refugee situation. If that is all new to you, you can check out the previous blog posts here and here.
