“In the Limelight” - a new Quilted Twins kit ready to go

This place housing a lot of refugee orphans asked for cleaning supplies on Saturday. So Monday morning I went to the store and bought some for them.

When I first saw this alligator panel - well, I didn’t understand why my sis still had any in stock!

Considering these photos are taken in Florida, I thought the background quite appropriate.

The long armer quilters used this really cool design. on the swamp background. I thought it was perfect!

We’ve made up the pattern - and just a warning - if you want this kit, please do not wait to order. We have a limited quantity. Your “boys” in your life would think these are super cool! I’m sure of it! (Some girls too!) I think it’s cool!

Maybe part of why I thought it so interesting is because in the background here at mom’s house, you can see a swampy area. We’ve had gators back there in the past.

When I saw the panel, frankly, I didn’t understand why Floridians and other deep southerners had left any in the store for any length of time. I thought it was 100% amazing print! So, I pulled it and came up with this design around the panel to feature it with a bit of drama. The long-armers added a whole bunch to it with their quilting, I might add.

The quilt kit is here, or just the pattern can be found here.

The panel is a full yard panel so it is made with the 36”x45” panel - getting to be a bit rare. Of course, you could substitute another panel for this one.

Lots has been going on here in the few days - so this one is going to be quick - and short. I did enjoy making this alligator into an amazing quilt - I thought.

But this pattern would make a dramatic statement using another equally amazing panels as well. Just change the colors around to work with whatever the panel is that you are using.
