Had a couple of guests drop in

As our BIG shipment of quilts gets closer and closer to us - I’m trying to finish up all the ones I already have. I had gone through and emptied all the boxes I already had, matched up pillowcases to quilts and had them under the bar, waiting for me to get them done.

On Tuesday I had a group and we did some - but not a huge number were done - just the Galaxy full - though I did manage to squeeze quite a few of them into it.

But last night when Mike came back from Ukraine, he had two ladies with him - and they spent the night - as it as midnight when they got here. They were trying to get to Germany and needed to catch a train to Berlin.

Their names are Inna and Ania. Since I had spent part of yesterday afternoon making up quilt packs and filling the van, I asked Mike if he thought they could help me unload them this morning before they head on to Germany.

“Sure.”

So I took a minute to show them what I was doing with the vinyl packages and told them I needed a bit of help getting them from the vehicle to the room at the church. They were happy to help. So, Mike had to take the trailer back to the church anyway, and so they went with him. My vehicle had no room for people.

So, right after breakfast, I took the van to the church and Mike came shortly after that with the truck and trailer and the two ladies.

By the time I asked Mike for his phone, I had already emptied a lot of the van.

Here they are, helping me take things into the the room! We had just unloaded some from the room, so there was room for these!

I’m shameless in my willingness to ask guests to help! :)

Ania is on the left, and Inna on the right. Inna speaks some English. They are only going to Berlin to visit some relatives and friends. They will probably come back through in about a week.

So that’s all for today. I need to get down to the room and change the sheets, ready for the next guests.

I will say, they were totally fascinated by the room with the fabric. They took photos of my stash. :)
