Blissful Bounty Bundle Pack Leftovers

I had enough leftover pieces from the bundle pack Blissful Bounty after I made the first top, shown below, to cut 100 3.5” squares. I really liked this fabric, so I wanted to use it ALL!

This is what I did with it. I could have stopped with it when it was just a baby size, but I wanted it to be the size of a twin size or single European size. There is a lady I met from Ukraine whose mother loves to garden - veggies. I decided after meeting her and spending time with her that I’d love to make this into a regular single European size and give it to her. I say that because people here don’t entirely understand the idea of a lap quilt. So, while ideally, this could be a lap quilt, I found some very nice fabric in my large stash that I could add to the outer edge. Here’s the plan as I have it.

And here is how it turned out.

For the border, since I didn’t have any actual officially coordinating fabric, I used an older fabric I had that I loved - featuring veggies/farmer’s market.

So here is the straight on shot of the quilt top. I am very pleased.

I didn’t actually put the white border on in the order that I meant to. In the long run it won’t make a lick of difference. I normally put on the sides first and then the top and bottom. I know others don’t always do that, but this time I put the white sides on last.

I was especially happy about this since I used up virtually almost every single scrap of this bundle pack with these little 3.5” cut squares. I may have had 2 3.5” squares of that mushroom fabric leftover.

For this quilt - I used leftovers from this Blissful Bounty pack.

Rachael still has some here. The other top I made from this pack is this one - I shared it quite a while ago now. All I did for that one was to frame the quilt panel block with a green blender and white and then the fabrics from the bundle pack. Since there are 6 pieces to the bundle pack, each fabric is used twice in the outer border around the panel blocks.

It’s not quilted yet. I hope to get it done soon.

And that’s it. I’m feeling much better when I get a chance to actually sew what I want to sew.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day where you are reading.
