Some Grateful Recipients

Here are a some photos of people who have received your quilts!

These are all ‘displaced people’ - Ukrainians who aren’t able to be in their own homes since they normally live in places due to it being unsafe because of bombing/shelling in their home towns. Another word for them is “refugees”. :)

I know it’s short - but seriously - we are so thankful for you who have donated!

I know it is important to let you see photos - so that you can see we are continuing to give them out and people are continuing to get them.

It’s all gone now - well - it’s all sorted and placed in different places! I wasn’t able to liquify it! :)

Oh…and the other day - I was able to clean out that whole pile of “stuff” I needed to deal with.

I was able to completely go through the quilt tops that were donated and measure them - so I can add sufficient borders to make them 60x80”. These were included in with the boxes of finished quilts for Ukraine.

With these tops, while they were sent with Ukrainian donations, I’m considering them donations to charity quilts - for anyone who needs them (I did not promise to finish any quilt tops for Ukrainians - so while I might use them for Ukrainian refugees - they also might be used for Polish people who need them - we’ll see.)

Once again - they are fun to work with because each one is so different. As it is still hot, though, I’m leaving my iron ‘off’ so I’m able to do only ‘so much’ til the weather turns cooler this weekend - hopefully on Sunday!

(I wrote this a couple of days ago - and it looks like we’re going to have heat for yet another week or so - til about Sept. 4 in fact.) But then maybe that’s all the further that they actually have a good forecast.

I’ve been able to get together some charity quilts tops ready - got quite a pile, in fact. I will either wait til it gets cooler, or if I get tired of waiting, I may set up my ironing board outside. :) Can’t believe it - but at least I wouldn’t heat up the house.

Thanks so much for coming along with me!
