Another one finished! I think you will remember it - at least most of you.

This one is made from the leftover cut offs from Sheet of Stamps.

I don’t really think I’ll see or hear of another quilt like this one - and so I’m not planning on writing the pattern for you for it.

Right?

I’ll be completely transparent here - the people who would even have these pieces would first need to make that quilt - and that dramatically cuts down on potential people who possibly would be interested in making such a quilt!

Right?

I did finish this one, however, and I have to say that I love it. It is one that completely went over and beyond my expectations!

Far exceeded them!

I did agonize for hours and hours about the layout with this one - as I may have mentioned in that other blog post. I wanted to do these pieces justice.

If even ONE of you makes that Sheet of Stamps top and trims off the edge pieces and then writes me on Facebook Messenger and tells me they want to make my Unique quilt - well, I can write it up for you - but seriously I doubt that anyone is going to go to the effort to make that quilt just to make this one!

See how much faith I have that anyone reading this is going to do that? LOL

“O ye, of little faith"!

This is a LEFTOVERS quilt. Like turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving dinner - or turkey pot pie when using up the turkey you cooked - which was the main course for your Thanksgiving dinner! Most people don’t cook up a whole turkey in order to take it and cut it all into little pieces and put it into turkey pot pie - first.

At least not people I know. Usually we make it from the leftovers after having eaten the roasted turkey at least once or twice.

Here is where I shared the top I finished. A lot of you had super nice comments about it. Thank you.

I will share once again the design or layout with you so, in theory, anyway, you could make your own without a pattern or having made up the one called Sheet of Stamps. But I am willing to share with you the measurements - it really isn’t a problem, but is anyone really interested?

The crispness of the black, white and red just make me happy. These aren’t colors I would normally wear, or even necessarily decorate with, but I really do like this quilt! LOL

The only way I really knew how to make this top was because many moons ago I made this quilt as part of a Facebook group I was in which is now pretty much defunct.

This one was part of my Upcycled series of quilts where all the fabrics are from second-hand sources - either curtains or duvet covers, etc. I call it Bravo Czerwone - and at the time it was a free pattern. I don’t remember the original title of the pattern was but it did have Bravo in it. Maybe Bravo Indigo.

At this point - I stopped writing and I did some searching - and I found it here.

(Get it while it is available if interested.)

However, I did learn about making those blocks with that blue and then black little strips in them. I thought they would be incredibly difficult, but the designer used the flip and stitch method which is what I employed for this one.

So back to this quilt. I will give it a 9.5/10 for my quilts. I won’t actually tell you why I’m not giving it a 10/10 but just some small things I would prefer not to be. But I am so very pleased and as I mentioned before - it completely exceeded my expectations when I began to work on a design for these pieces.

Here is the back side of the quilt. I had this amazing rose fabric - a Polish line of fabric.

I had the table full so I used the floor for a few minutes.

I had had so many different things to attempt to make - let me share with you three of the “other designs” I had been debating before I finally settled on this one. Maybe some of you remember my quandary about what to make. Let me show you.
