Did you ever wonder how far our customers drive to visit the store?

Did you ever wonder how far our walk in customers here at Quilted Twins come? Wonder no longer!

I figured it was high time for another quick survey. I have a lot of fun with this, and one Saturday recently, when I was manning the cash register, a good spot to catch people coming in and going out, I asked everyone to record their cities on a sheet of paper. It was just a simple list people made. If their city was already on the list, they simply added tally marks. A simple way to record, but it was easy and quick.

So, what we determined was that in September we have a heap of a lot fewer people in the store than Jan-April, and people don’t come from as far away. But, this was a fun event, and interesting to see just how far away people come from.

We’re happy to report that our largest number of people (13) came in from our own Dade City. This is probably a first for us, as normally, we have few Dade Citians, and mostly Ocala or Villagers. We had zero people from Ocala, but the Villages did come in second with 12 visitors on that particular Saturday.

Please note, that this was not a particularly well attended Saturday, nor a particularly low Saturday. It was a quite “normal summer Saturday.” (Sometimes, however, I must admit that we’re very hard pressed to figure out what “normal” is.)

Altogether, we had 66 different people come into the store on this particular Saturday in September from 21 different towns surrounding us, albeit some were quite far away, including 4 people from different states.

Our store is the large red center in the middle on the left hand side of the screen. Except for Jupider and Bradenton throwing a monkey wrench in our radius, you’d find all the shoppers within about a 40 mile radius. But, of course, we’re thankful for anyone and everyone!

Middleton (I couldn’t find this on the map)

San Antonio

We had two couples, one each from Staten Island, NY and one couple from Clover, SC.

We have a lot of fun with this map, examiining it every now and then!
