Test Pattern #49 - revised

Well, here it is. Revised. Finally.

Last year I remade this top - because I wanted to make the design go to the edges.

Here it is.

I am so happy that this one is finished! And yes, I love it! I am very glad I remade it.

if you are new here, well, this was my original. However, since I made it, I’ve been unhappy that I skimped on not making the blocks go all the way to the edges.

This pattern uses that very light gray in order to form a circle effect. That was why you all helped me name it Test Pattern and the #49 is because it was number 49 in my 2” series.

The name Test Pattern was called that because it reminded people of old test patterns from black and white tv eons ago. :) Here is a quick google search showing test patterns.

So am I glad I spent the weeks I did and redid this quilt?

I am.

Very much so.

Here is a bit closer up so you can see the fabrics I used.

The quilting -

In case you didn’t remember, this was the original Test Pattern #49.

Side by side - here they are. You can see that this second one is definitely lighter and brighter than the original. Because I didn’t have them facing the same direction, I actually turned the first one on its side. That’s so you can see the difference easily. I didn’t want to go retake photos.

I did revise the pattern so it it reflects this second quilt. It is here. I just took all the numbers from when I redid it and plugged it into the pattern and obviously redid quite a bit of it. I hope it helps someone!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
