"Prairie Stockings"
I finished up this quilt!
When I started making Lori Holt quilts, I had not made “articles of clothing” quilts.
Now I have!
This one is called Prairie Stockings. I used a variety of Lori Holt PLUS various other fabrics that went with them. The pattern is found in the Prairie Home book.
But now I have!
I love how it turned out.
I had to actually add to my Lori Holt fabrics as we were on the road when I made this top. As a result, I decided I needed a few more colors and I went to a couple of local stores.
I picked up this “maker” fabric somewhere. I’m thinking it was a quilt store, but then again, maybe not as it was a bit thicker than typical quilt store fabric, so I just don’t remember. I did do all this in the Indianapolis, IN area.
Here is the main part of the quilt. I really liked making these blocks. Once again, they went together pretty quickly. I wasn’t perfect on the sizing, but in the end, it all seemed to work well together.
I did find that really cool old looking fabric at one of the big box stores. I liked it. Still do.
The quilt has been washed, and I didn’t see any issues with bleeding, so we’re fine ont aht end!
My husband and I both really liked these stars which found themselves at the corners of the borders.
And of course, the quilt roll!
You can see that here I just did some tight (ish) loops.
My Lori Holt series now looks like this!
You can see that this series is ever-so-slowly getting finished to current!
I have several more started, but just haven’t been working on them lately as I’ve been focusing on charity quilts/tops and all these FINISHES. This is making me so very happy, by the way, even though I’m longing to get busy piecing again.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
