Hearts for Clemson

I thought I’d make some hearts to take with us to our daughter’s graduation/hooding/marching - depending what you call it.

I had acquired a couple of yards of Clemson fabric along the way somewhere. I’m not actually sure where - I think it was in Walmart in the Greenville, SC area as the local Walmarts tend to carry the fabrics of the colleges in the area if they exist.)

I decided to coordinate these a bit better than I do sometimes and actually quilt the fabric in orange on the top and purple on the bottom.

Usually I only use white to quilt these.

I then chose coordinated ribbons and beads and put on orange and purples.

I decided to make 16 of these (8 from each 6.5” strip x WOF) and we would put them out in the area of Pendleton/Clemson, SC. When Lydia saw them (I sent her pictures), she thought it was super nice and mentioned that people will love them!

Here are the photos.

I hope people like them as much as I enjoyed making them.

This is the first set of hearts I’ve made with a team or area logo. I’m hoping that I can put these all around Clemson or Pendleton as a lot of people work at a sort of Clemson related job.

For those of you who don’t know - Clemson University is quite large - to the tune of about 23,000 students. That alone is bigger than our home town of Dade City, FL.

I did print out some tags that didn’t have any Polish on them.

I hope to be able to put these out right about the time that this blog post goes live. Obviously I made these hearts while still in Poland.

And now you know!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading!
