Yet Another 10 Charity tops ready to go
You all know that getting charity tops ready to quilt is a job in itself. I sometimes wait and do this later in the year but I’ve been wanting to fill up a couple of storage containers before I pile them up with finished charity quilts early in the year (on top of the containers.) So, I’ve been working hard to try to get some of these tops done now - so that I can effectively fill the totes with “ready to go tops” and then bury them in quilts waiting for the giveaway. Once I get 30 quilts stacked on a box or two of plastic bins, it is a chore to move the quilt pile to get into the bins. I think you get it.
Anyway, here are the next ten which will be transported very soon over to the church building to go into bins marked “ready to quilt” as opposed to “not ready to quilt”! LOL I guess my methods aren’t very sophisticated, are they? I’m so happy to see progress on this project, even if the progresss is very small as I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with the mess in my storage room at church.
It is really hanging over my head to have so many tops that really aren’t ready to quilt and making them into the right size is something I aim to do something about, as long as I have time and energy. Thankfully I do have the fabrics and can add borders to probably hundreds of tops. I know I’ve recently finished 30 and have another almost 40 cut borders waiting for me to sew.

Once again, though, I may have to just stop and spend time on my own things as the job seems never ending. We’ll see. It’s early in the year to feel this way, so hopefully I can pace myself. I think if I had the tops in the church building in less of a mess, I’d feel better. I may go spend a couple of hours in the room, organizing and really evaluating what I have.
The pile of tops waiting to be put in their bag and taken to the church as “ready to quilt”. Yeah! Thanks to anyone who has given me tops to use!
In the meantime, it’s COLD in Poland I’m fine with working on all these things. I really love ironing in the cold winter months - as I don’t mind at all putting all that steam and heat in the house!
Have a great day wherever you are reading!
Thanks for coming along with me on my journey!
