What a week!

It’s been a week of quilting, piecing, making charity tops and getting an updated picture!

It has continued to be cold and we still have snow on the ground. I thought it was a great time to update my photo for my quilt called Movie Night because I am featuring skiing fabrics in the center of the tvs. So here are a couple of those shots. I already have featured that particular quilt, so I’m not giving it a whole blog post - just wanted to share the snow pictures. Snow is hard for me, however, especially since I wanted to use my morning time to do other things which meant I struggled with the sunshine. :) I know, I should have made it priority, but I didn’t.

I also have been busy quilting - and I’m getting very close to getting caught up with my own personal tops! I am probably the closest I’ve been since I got the long arm a few years ago. It is unbelievable to me, but after hearing that one

I also have been quilting some of my own tops - FINALLY! I am actually working down to the bottom of my pile - which feels just amazing!

I will be sharing each of these quilts individually as I get them completely done, washed, dried and photographed outside on the line. Some of these have been my favorites and I kept putting off quilting them lest I ruin them.

I’ve also been working on more charity tops - but that’s not what this one is about.

I’ve been trying to work very intensely and focusing on not being on the computer as much and being on my sewing machine more! That “mess” in my charity quilt room has been hanging over me and there is one way to get it fixed and that is to just “do it” - deal with it!

However, it is such a big project, that I have to remind myself that it is a marathon and not a sprint! However, I already do see some progress!

I do admit to wanting to be back to piecing primarily - and I’m getting closer to that end goal!

I’ve started several tops that I want to finish,

BUT getting that quilting done is so exciting - as well as making progress on the room above! In fact, several of my new tops are at the completed blocks stage.

Anyway, this is just a check in!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
