Introducing the First of our 2025 All Florida Shop Hop Goodies
Starting today, the 15th of January, we are allowed to start selling our 2025 AFSH (All Florida Shop Hop) packages - either quilt kits or fabric bundles or all of the above.
We’re starting today with our first quilt kit and some basic fabric bundles made up of the 2025 AFSH fabrics.
The first is the quilt which we’ve named Florida Keys.
Florida Keys is a traditional quilt made with a panel, a bit of tan inner border and then piano keys. We topped it off with an orange binding which echoed the inner orange printed stripe on the panel itself.
It is a very pleasing lap quilt and restful to look at. It finishes at 50”x56” so it is a delightful lap size.
I guess you can guess who made the quilt.
Yes, I made the top and we had it quilted by Jeff and Diane Hissong of Lakeland.
Let me share some pictures with you.
It was quilted with dolphins.
We are letting everyone know that they can simply leave the points off of the piano keys and make it into a regular piano key border. In that case it would look like this:
The kit would be the same — you can make either version.
I did not do the quilting, naturally, here in Florida, since we have a couple of different long arm quilters that we tend to use as I mentioned above.

And now you can find the half yard bundle packs that you can preorder. These things will be shipped March 1, which is the first day we can have the fabric in your hands!
