"Pastel Paradise"
Pastel Paradise is our next quilt that we are presenting for the 2025 All Florida Shop Hop (AFSH).
Rachael was going for pretty, so we searched for the right fabric combination and patterns in order to get the feeling of Anne of Green Gables meets Florida.
Between the two of us we figured out this design and this combination of fabrics.
I think we succeeded in the look we were going for!
Because this is a large one - a really nice queen, we had no place to hang it so my husband created a spot here in Florida. It’s not the best, but it does work.
The quilt uses the Shop Hop fabrics PLUS some Moda Grunge.
We put a coordinating backing like this.
We used the coral panel that features a lot of the really beautiful prints by Dan Morris and Quilting Treasures fabrics. It was quilted by the Hissongs in Lakeland. Diane bound it for us as well. Yes, I made the top and it does lie flat when it’s on a bed or the floor - but hanging it on this ratchet strap and huge clips distorts it a bit.
Another view -
Here are some close ups of the quilting and more of the fabrics themselves.
You can see we used flip flops and some flowers for the quilting. Diane and Jeff did a great job.
The kit is available here for only $148!
For now, the pattern alone is not available, but probably will be later - after March 1.
This was a lot of fun to make and reasonably quick to put together.
Check it out today!
The rest of the AFSH fabrics things are here.
