Next Twenty Hearts

I was able to get the next 20 hearts out! I am so glad to finally be making progress on my big box of hearts!!! Here is a picture of that pile.

Several of these hearts were soccer related. I wanted to get them all out before the end of the Euro Cup 2024. I was able to do so. I don’t know if they were FOUND before the finals, which was Sunday, the 14th of July, but I did put them up by the 13th. Hopefully someone who actually likes soccer (football) finds or found them!

Here are the close ups.

Here is where I put them - at least most of them. At least two of the “where” photos were too blurry for me to put up, so I’ll leave them off. I mostly put them in the woods near our home this time. I do that once or twice a year. Lots of people use that area to walk their dogs. Hopefully people will find them.

I haven’t been actually making very many of these this year, though they are terribly fun to make. I really wanted to work down my box of them before I continue making more and more. So there’s that. I found out a lady that I had given hearts to last year still hasn’t put them all out yet - when I asked her if she wanted more to put out.

I may ask some kids at church if they want to help. Children are less shy sometimes about things like this. :)

I know at least some of the heart makers on a group I’m in have children who help them put them out. I just want to make sure people put them where it is okay and not where they will be in trouble for putting.

Anyway, another group of hearts is out and hopefully people will find them soon. I’ve never put any hearts out where I put this last group, so I’m glad I’ve expanded my horizons a bit. Maybe some new people will be encouraged when they find a heart in the woods!

I will say if any of you are wondering what this is about— I first saw people making hearts on Facebook and then putting them out in various places to be found as a RAK or random act of kindness. The first website where I went to read about it was www.ifaqh.com and there are the policies and guidelines for that group.

However, since then I’ve joined a group on Facebook called “Look! A Quilted Heart!” and I may start putting their tags on these when I get finished with all my other tags. The Look group is actually about supporting the heart makers with encouragement, ideas, supplies, etc. People can join and share a heart if they find one but it is a hindrance as they have to join the group in order to report it.

But anyway, they are a great creative outlet and very small projects that allow you to finish one or two in a short amount of time.
