Update on Our Midsummer QOV challenge!
It’s time to tell you what’s up with our Midsummer Quilt Of Valor (QOV) Challenge.
Remember?
We are trying to help our local Lakeland QOV group get a bit more caught up on their Quilts of valor again. We did this last year and they were so very thankful for what we were able to help them with.
Each of you who buys a kit from us and returns a finished quilt by September 30 to Quilted Twins will receive a gift bag from us which will be filled with things that we have received on your behalf from various vendors and quilt supply companies. Each gift bag will be different.
So far we’ve had a good response - especially for such a crazy busy year for everyone!
We are asking you to hold off until after August 15 if you are going to send in quilts by mail and please wait until between August 15 to September 30 if you bring them in to the store in Dade City, FL. Thank you! We will be getting your gifts ready in the next couple of weeks.
We have a variety of quilt kits for you to buy - all priced at a very reasonable $48. This isn’t a contest - but if you return a quilt that obviously used our kit’s fabrics, you will get a bag as long as the size fits in the QOV guidelines which is no smaller than 55”x 65” and no larger than 72”x90”.
It isn’t too late if you want to participate and help our vets!
We’ve sold close to 80 of these kits/fabric bundles so far, and are hoping we get them mostly all back! I hope. We were able to help them so much last year and it was such a meaningful experience in order to help deserving vets get a special gift!
In case you are new here and have no clue what the Quilts of Valor foundation is about, let me share with you their website here.
In January, we had a QOV presentation to several vets. Here it the blog post showing it and here are the quilts presented. You can read about it here.
This is just an update - we have sold a variety of the kits shown above - and can’t wait to see the quilts that will be coming in! We know that you all do a fantastic job!
Thanks so much for coming along with us on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
