UEFA starts today plus Our Anniversaries

Today in Europe starts the 2024 European Cup which is a big deal here. It’s a massive soccer championship that takes place every other other year here in Europe.

Poland made it in and is in Group D. The first game for them will be on June 16, 2024.

This series of playoffs starts June 14 and finishes up July 14, 2024.

Later in the summer will be the Olympics in Paris.

The first events start June 24, 2024. It officially opens on July 26.

Anyway, Poland has made it into the Euro Cup 2024, so that’s exciting. I’m not really into soccer very much, but a lot of people here. I mean a LOT of people are. I’ve seen in the mall where they set up big monitors and just have people who sit around and watch.

It is a good thing to be aware of, even if you aren’t that big of a fan.

Then, today, June 14, is my husband and my anniversary. It’s been 38 years! We looked like children but we were 23 and 28 - almost 24 and 29 as both of our birthdays are in August.

Rachael and Ken were married one year before us on June 15, so theirs is tomorrow. It will be 39 years!
