May 2026 Strips Cutting Report
I did some gradual cutting throughout the month but I’ve not really tackled a lot of things I need to do. I have some bags of scraps that need my attention because I spent a bit of time this past week going back through several months of strips that I hadn’t sorted into the colors yet and discovering quite a few things that probably should be cut up into strips. I did do the sorting and divvied up the pinks, reds, blues, greens, etc. of the 2.5” strips. I am not doing that with my 1.5” or 2” strips, however.
But I did cut up some things several times. Not a lot. But a bit.
Here is the what I did do.
2.5” - 1.01 lb. (If I can, I have been focusing on cutting into this size)
2” - 0.14 lb (not very much!)
1.5” - 0.26 lb. (not much)
Here are the totals for the year to date.
And here are my totals for the entire project so far.
Sometimes I grow weary of doing this project, but I know it has value. I have been sending some of my scraps to other people who can use them as I have so many of these strips. I am currently working on several 2.5” strips and squares scrappy projects, so I am trying.
Let me share with you 12 of my 2” strips quilts. These are on the free patterns page. These were designed and made because of this project.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
