Beauty All Around Us - Views from My Vantage Point at Quilt Market

Did you enjoy it?

I had never been to Quilt Market before, so I wasn’t sure just what to expect. I knew it would be big. People had warned me. However, I wasn’t expecting quite so much beauty and temptation to surround me everywhere I turned.

I would highly recommend anyone who goes to go with at least $100,000 in your budget, or just take out your camera. You could spend thousands at every booth and not even blink an eye.

Since things have been quite a bit slower due to the economy and all, I went armed with a camera, and some steel will in the form of Ken and Steven, to keep me centered, and from buying things just because they were there!

However, who can resist oohing and awwing at what’s coming down the pike.

But, instead of stopping and buying, I just stopped and asked. “What’s this?” “When is it coming?” and I kept my buying to a minimum. Perhaps not what the sponsors of the show wanted, or the manufacturers needed, but it’s what I had to do.

I didn’t bring back hundreds of thousands of dollars in new fabrics because, well, frankly, it’s been hard to sell much fabric lately, but I did bring back some beautiful pictures for you!

I loved the sights from above as well as below. Here’s some above shots of both the setup of the Market and the finished Quilt Show. The bird’s eye view was fabulous!

Thank you, Rachael, for sharing with us! We love looking at all the sights!
