71-80 Charity Quilts 2024

Here are the next ten charity quilts that I finished.

Several of these were made by Fran in Arizona (and I addded the borders), Ewa’s mom/Ewa. The strips one with the warm strips were made by Ewa and me together and the the strips one- sort of like a Jelly Roll race was by Ewa, I believe. The cool green/orange/red one was made by one of you all and the one with the white background and rail fence block on point was made by one of you and I just added borders to make it big enough for my needs. The big panel one was whipped up by me with the help of a large panel.

So you can see, once again, this was a joint effort by several people.

Thank you so much if you are one of the people who helped!

I am sure this group will be a very popular group and these will get taken quickly!

Because I was sick while working on a lot of these, I did take some time this past week and just spent more time getting my strength back. I had told my husband a week ago that while I believed I was over the infection/s, I felt like I was ‘weak’ and could relapse easily.

He looked at my kind of strangely, but accepted it. I just needed to stay inside, warm and rested. In other words, I had no desire to go outside and work in the leaves and get chilled by working more in the garden. Staying warm and by my sewing machine sounded like a much better option. :)

Now, I do feel a lot better. I’m writing this on Sunday and I was able to sing again at church (I’ve had problems with my voice and coughing), and feel I’m back up to 90-95% strength.

I’m so thankful. My symptoms seem to be gone and I’m feeling much more normal once again. That was a rough month-6 weeks (Oct/first of Nov.).

Because of that, I’ve not scheduled a time to give these out yet. I just haven’t felt up to the work that is involved with that, and knowing how important it is for me to “take care of myself” as mom would say, I’m trying to give my body what it needs and ‘take care of it’.

I am doing plenty of other things, however, including finishing up other projects and cleaning areas of my house that had been neglected for the last couple of months (or more). :)

Thank you once again for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
