Charity quilt work for the last week

Saturday - we had the big give-away and I did not do other sewing on next year’s quilt work. However, I spent the day on the give-away and cleaning up afterwards.

Sunday - took a break

Monday - quite a while - but more than 30 minutes

I rolled up another binding and I also sewed on some strips to a piece of black print - for another quilt top - as it was taking up space right by my sewing machine

Tuesday - more than 30 min

binding - sewing, pressing, rolling them up

Wednesday - more than 30 minutes

binding - sewing, pressing, rolling them up

Thursday - more than 30 minutes

sewing, pressing, rolling up bindings and putting them in the box

Friday - more than 30 minutes

sewing, pressing, rolling up bindings and storing them in the box

So, now that I am now down to just binding, I think I’m going to put the pedal to the metal and get these done ASAP. I’m kind of tired of thinking about these already and love the idea of having at least 120 done. I might want to do more, but if I had 120 done, then of course, as I work on charity quilting, and have quilts that maybe done match with the bindings I already have made up, naturally I can still make up a binding here and there. But this should save me some serious time and energy next year when I’m on a roll and wanting to finish up the next ten quilts.

And I guess, I’m just feeling like wanting to be prepared for 2026 and helping my own brain be free to do other things by making these ahead of time.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
