Hurricane Helene - what happened to us in Dade City, FL?
As most of those of you in the states are aware, we began hearing about Hurricane Helene a few days ahead of when it actually formed into a hurricane!
By Wed. it was officially named a Hurricane. The projected path changed a bit every four or five hours.
But we are located in central Florida and not along the coast, thankfully!
Rachael sent me some pictures and a couple of videos of what they experienced there in Dade City.
First of all, thank you to all who are concerned. Quilted Twins is located about 40 miles inland, so all the storm surge that happened near the beach didn’t affect the store at all.
There wasn’t much rain, either.
But there was some wind. Let me share with you some of the pictures that Rachael sent me along with some of the videos.
This is what they received. Really - it was nothing.
Mom did lose power for about 4 hours, but that was all. Several others of the family didn’t lose power at all.
Rachael made us a few very short videos. Let me share three of them with you.
Rachael wrote me and said that while things are a bit different for everyone there in Florida we think people in the Carolinas and Georgia and other parts of Florida got a lot more of the Hurricane effect!
Thank you so much for asking, being interested and caring.
Feel free to order - they are working filling orders and the mail should be back to normal shortly!
Have a great day wherevever you are reading!
Thanks so much for coming along with me/us on this journey!
