July strips report

I did manage to get some more scraps cut up in July even though we were gone a lot during the month.

I didn't even feel like I had enough to dig out the pink containers.

I didn't even feel like I had enough to dig out the pink containers.

So, for July, I cut up these totals:

2.5" - 3.6 lbs.

2" -  3.68 lbs.

1.5" - .76 lb.

This makes my total for the year to look like this.

I hope this explains to those of you why I continue to make quilts with my strips.  I continue to have them.  I am still focusing on 2" strips until I get to at least 21 for the year. If you figure about 2.5 yards per lb. that is close to 300 yards of fabric involved in those 2" strips I've cut up this year!

So, back to the grindstone!

My sis recently got in some backing fabrics and at only $7.75 yard you can afford to back your quilts with 108" wide backing!
