"Jurek's Stars in Pink and Gray" top finished
I suppose this doesn’t look very much like a “George”’s quilt - That’s what the Polish name “Jurek” means - actually it’s Jurzy - and Jurek is the familiar name - like Robert/Bob and Rebecca/Becky etc.
I decided I wanted to try this in pinks and grays when someone mentioned they were going to. Naturally, I didn’t have as many grays as I wanted - how could I possibly have so few grays when my stash is so big?
Well, I don’t know. I did what I could.
My original Jurek’s Stars quilt called for a piano key border. I had been uneasy about it ever since I started seriously considering cutting the pieces for it. I finally decided not to do it - thinking that I wanted a nice “calm” border for this. It just seemed to me like this rose fabric was perfect for it.
Otherwise, it’s the same pattern!
You can find my my recent post about Jurek’s Stars quilt here.
I know it’s short and sweet - but that’s all I have to say about this one. I’ve not quilted it yet- but when I do, I’ll be sure to show you!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
