"Square Play"

I was able to finish up this one - it’s one of my 2” series of quilts - using primarily 2” strips and squares. It’s actually number 65 in that series!

I feel like I’ve done all the “easy ideas” and am now starting to get more creative than before. And that’s fine (but not true!), but I don’t want to get too hard - as I want these to be do-able. They need to be easy enough so that people can actually use their own scraps for them - without having to go and “buy scraps” just for their quilts! Or use a lot of special rulers or templates. That goes against what I’m trying to do as well!

Anyway………

it’s bright. It’s fun.

It’s cheery.

And it used up a lot of scraps! Seriously ! There are a lot of little squares in this one!

I did swirls for quilting - this time a bit bigger and with more points.

Enjoy.

This one exceeded my expectations! I really like it!

When making quilts, I had to, at first, force myself to use these brights - as the colors I tended to prefer to work with were more muted or pastels even.

The quilt roll!

The quilt roll!

However, when I saw people’s very bright quilts on the internet/Facebook specifically, I was drawn to them as well, so I began getting a little more adventurous with color.

This one shows that I’m not longer afraid to “go for it” when it comes to brights!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!

Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
