"Cabin Fever Blues" second go-around

I finished my “Special order” quilt for my niece and her husband. Sarah asked for the pattern “Cabin Fever Blues” but with purples, greens, and blues. In fact, she sent me most of the fabric so I could be sure I was right on the colors. I really like the colors she sent!

She lives in Florida, so the “cool palette” will be really nice for them!

Here it is.

She needed it a bit larger than the one I called Cabin Fever Blues so I made the piano key borders larger - longer strips. I had tried to play around with a different layout * - an 8x8 layout instead of 6x6 - but I didn’t like the look. She needs a king size. This top started out about 107”x107”, so I’m hoping that’s big enough!

I think it is.

Off in the distance you can see some of my pumpkins that I’ve already picked. It is so much fun to harvest.

I made this quilt before - you can find the free pattern on the free patterns page here.

And that’s what’s been happening in my sewing room lately!

Be sure to check out what my sis has in the store! She is doing her best to help keep quilting affordable!
