"Quiet Moments" finished
I did manage to get this one finished up. It’s number 79 in my 2” strips and squares series.
Remember it?
I used the quilt on the right as inspiration. It is a donated quilt top, seemingly hand stitched - and from all appearances, quite old. I’ll be adding borders to it to make it a 60”x80” quilt for giving away.
I was able to finish this huge thing a couple of days ago now.
I chose to use a hot pink binding - was tempted to go with all scrappy but opted for the pink in hopes that by repeating the color that was in the center of the quilt it would add some continuity to the whole thing. It’s actually a pretty “loud” quilt -
There is a lot going on here!
It’s also quite big! Or maybe it just felt big after doing all those charity quilts. The pattern says it’s “only” 94.5”x105” or so.
So yes, it is big, but not 120” x 120” or anything.
I didn’t do any spectacular quilting with it. I can hardly see it - even when I try. It just blends so well - I used white thread. Just loops.
It hardly even makes an impression, but it will keep the three layers together!
And that’s it for what’s happening in my world for today!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store!
