February Quirky Fabrics

We are trying to feature some of our rather different fabrics that we have - once a month. It helps at least some of you see up close what we have that the workers consider “on the different” side.

This month the ladies decided that they wanted you to see some of the more crazy “character” fabric that we have. They do not think these are necessarily quirky this time - but rather, maybe just something you should see - maybe they would interest you!

Remember, as much as we grandmas (mostly) may or may not care that much about these characters, many children would love something made from a special character fabric. Or consider buying a yard and putting some in a couple of charity quilts for kids - they be very appreciated!

This fun pink and purple fabric is part of that Charmer girl series and is found here! It is by Springs Creative and is $5.99/yard,

This pink crazy fabric found below is called Ren and Stimply and is by Springs Creative. It is $5.99/yard. Maybe your little one loves these characters!

Rachael told me about these fabrics. Who doesn’t like Toy Story? Even I, who hardly watches any movies or tv, has seen and appreciated the Disney Toy Story movie!

This fun Toy Story Fabric is by Camelot Fabrics. It is $5.99/yard and can be purchased here.

This Toy Story fabric would go very well as a neutral in a scrap quilt - it would be sort of subtly funny. It is by Camelot Fabrics and can be found here for $5.99/yard. I think it would be very clever used this way.

This Spiderman fabric just shows his head - by Springs Creative. It’s only $5.99/yard and would spice up a quilt for your favorite young one!

This amazing print - I’m surprised it hasn’t FLOWN off the shelves. Almost all little boys (especially) would love something from this! Marvel Comics for Camelot Fabrics - only $5.99/yard.

All those fabrics shown above are what the ladies at the office chose. I looked through them and I thought you should know about these two:

This is the kind of fabric you might not notice at all - but your little one would - when he or she looks at his beloved quilt!

It’s Dalmations Fabric - yellow on white. Use it as a white in your quilt. It would be also very fun in a “Made ya Look” quilt. Maybe next time I’m back in the states, I’ll scour the store for all kinds like this to make another one.

and then - this Nerf fabric. Now for those you who may not be aware - guys like Nerf guns - even COLLEGE guys. So, if you worked some of this into your grandson’s quilt (or son’s)…it won’t look “too juvenile” for many years! I’m not kidding. One of our sons showed his whole dorm hall with their Nerf guns in the hallway, posing for a picture!

So there you are! Some fabrics maybe you’ve never noticed before in the store! Maybe there are a couple of pieces you’d like! Get them while you can! (I know I really wanted something like the Marvel comics stuff when my little guys were little.)
