"Earthquake!"

This is number 2 in the Upcycled Greens series. It’s another one of those very simple designs, but I really fell in love with it as I was designing it. As I made it early in the series, I did still have lots of those darker solid greens - whereas I am pretty much “out” of any dark solid greens at the point of this writing (having finished 16 tops as of this writing).

My original design idea had been a simple half square triangle design with no sashing - just all the same direction. Then I decided to play further with the design and saw this one come up in the program. I decided to go ahead and make it!

The effect, to me, anyway, is somewhat modern and clean looking.

The backing was a duvet cover.

This very simple design has a certain look - clean looking and straight-forward. No mystery. No surprises. No double meanings or shading.

I quilted it with swirls and curls.

The quilt roll - another one finished.

I’m actually thinking my daughter-in-law might really like this quilt as she loves greens and a modern look! We’ll see.

This whole series of sort is made with my dad and my DIL in mind as both were/are in love with green.

Here’s another close up of the quilting.

I did get the pattern written up. At last!

It’s here! This particular quilt is one that turned out better than I even imagined it would. I’m quite happy with it.
