Mountain Scene panel Quilt
This is just for those of you who love subtle.
This is subtle.
The colors are quiet - and the design? Well, look for it! This is a Hoffman Digital panel, and I was intrigued by it. It has been since discontinued - which, of course, I didn’t realize, when I took it from my sis’s store - that it would be discontinued so quickly. Shrug. (Look below for my sis’s link.)
Anyway, I like it.
All I did was surround it with a few borders - matching the colors as carefully as I could. Then I used a thin batting, in hopes that I could keep the texture down. It is easy for quilting to kind of overpower a quiet design and I did NOT want that at all with this.
I then used a simple meander, once again, trying to keep the texture from building up on it - and distracting from the quiet colors/shades.
And there you have it!
The perfect little lap quilt for someone who loves the mountains in all their quiet grandeur!
Here’s the cute little quilt roll.
By adding all those borders to this panel which starts out a nice size - you end up with a 53”x61” quilt. This makes for a really nice lap or decorator size quilt. Perfect for holding on your lap while watching tv or just draping over a chair in the living room!
Here’s the layout for you just in case you are wondering.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
