Summertime blahs!
Do you find yourself sewing less in the summer?
Does the heat take it out of you? (Today here in Dade City, I saw 99F on a sign on a bank I drove past.) Do you enjoy gardening instead of sewing when it’s hot?
Do you have another hobby that takes you away from sewing in the summer (or any time of year, actually)?
We’ve noticed the store is noticeably slower before holidays and towards the end of each month - but not only. Mother’s Day weekend was quite slow at the store- but then after it was over, we had a couple of large days for the middle of the week (for May).
I’m just wondering - about you personally….do you habitually do “other” things than sewing when the weather turns hot? Do you have babysitting duties when school’s out? Do you travel more in the summer (normally)? What about boating or camping? I’m just wondering what we all do.
You do realize we have some great gardening, boating, camping, traveling fabrics, right? I just had to get that in there! LOL
Do you get the summertime “blahs” when it pertains to sewing, or do you get energized because possibly you have more vacation time or time you can call your own?

Today I did something different as we took mom to Wendy’s for the first time since she came out of the hospital. I helped out at the store for a few hours, and then came home and sewed a bit and then watched a ball game. After getting mom ready for bed, I’m also ready for bed! The computer is located here near mom’s bed, so no late-night working for me! (Not that I’m so inclined anyway!)
