2021 charity quilts #121-125

Did you think we were done? Well we aren’t. However, these are the end of this year’s charity quilts.

The interesting thing is - all of these are already given away! ALL. Every.Single.One. That makes me happy.

That’s like having a meal that you fixed get eaten up. ALL. No leftovers to put away - especially not a just a spoonful of something! How frustrating is that?

As of the big Give-Away, I did actually have about 5 of these left. Then I gave away a couple more, and then a couple more and then, finally - all gone.

All of these tops but one were tops that Fran in Arizona made. I think you can figure out “which is different.” :) That was donated by one of you. Thank you so much!

One interesting thing. I did go upstairs and count the remaining big tops I had up there in that wardrobe. I believe I counted 41. And that is great! I think I have 17 in my house at the moment as Fran has sent me some but I’ve not added borders to them yet. In fact, I’ve not even CUT the borders yet. But anyway, even both together, that is only 58. That is making me feel not nearly as swamped as I was with those bigger tops that Fran had sent. I had felt a little guilty about having so many unfinished!

Because I had 35 quilts in the van, I had to put these five on the seat beside me.

With this group added to the room, it meant that at that time, I had 220 quilts! Yes! That’s a heap of quilts.

As I write this, there are - 0 quilts in there simply because the remaining ones are still downstairs. I pulled ten out of the leftovers to be packed up with my Noble Packages people - so that will leave 40 quilts total leftover so far. I know that I can give all of the ones that are teen/adult/tween ones away to the Noble Packages people - if not through people we ourselves buy presents for, I can funnel them through the people who are volunteering and help the quilts find new homes. I have two volunteers waiting for them, in fact. I am holding them off until I know the people we are going to sponsor and how many we need.

Here’s the room when it was packed.

Here’s a layout of the summary photos after I added each time. I did not get a photo of the first addition. :(

This is my last post about charity quilts for 2021. I now have shown all of the completed ones to you for this year. That’s good isn’t it? It’s kind of time for something else! Time for me to get on my big girl pants and get going on some real quilting “for me”! I’m really going to try to get in 5 hours a day for at least the next two weeks - if not more. Five hours minimum. I’ve been doing way too much goofing off! Well, not really - just not sewing!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Thanks for coming along with me on my quilting/sewing journey!
